Congratulations to Vinnie Crodelle who won three tournaments in a row to win Hudson Valley Bassmasters Angler of the Year! Here it is in his own words: I can't believe what happened this past Saturday. I won my 3rd straight club tournament on Saratoga Lake with a weight of 14.26lbs, winning by 3lbs, which is a huge margin in bass tournaments! Three straight wins is almost unheard of and I'm ecstatic as I'm writing this not because I won the tournament but because it finalized an incredible comeback to win the Angler of the Year title in my club, the Hudson Valley Bassmasters. I sat in second place almost all year as the guy in first was thought to be a lock to win the title which is based on a points system. The first of the three that I won, he took second. The second I won, he took 6th; and in the third he took 15th. This accounted for the 17 point deficit I made up over the last three tournaments! It's just an unreal run at the end of the year to make this happen. At this point, I don't even think it has to be said that Bioedge played a tremendous role in the victory. I caught about 15 keepers throughout the day and had over 14lbs for my best 5 while the average weight was about 6lbs. There were about 100 boats on the lake fishing 3 separate tournaments and my weight would have won either of the other two tournaments! My bag was anchored by a 5.83lb largemouth that came on a brush hog with craw potion. About half my keepers came on a jig n pig with craw potion and half came on the brush hog. My partner also caught a 5lber and won the cooangler division and had his best fishing day ever, which makes me feel even better about the day! This Angler of the Year title is already something I cherish and at 20 years old I am by far the youngest angler in the club not to mention that fishing in our club we have a touring professional, the 2006 New York State BASS Federation Angler of the Year, and a local legend with over 30 years tournament experience. This really has me on a high because I have been traveling home from college to fish these tournaments and it makes the commitment worth it. Mark down two wins for the minnow potion and one huge clincher win for the craw! Thanks Peter! Vinnie Crodelle Oh, by the way, I've had two of my best days ever weight wise within the past two weeks just out fun fishing, breaking the 20lb mark a couple times for five fish....all on craw potion scented black/blue jigs that I make.
